Eren Simpson is a writer living in Dallas, TX with her husband, son, daughter, two dogs and a cat.

Eren is originally from Ankara, Turkey and moved to the U.S. when she was six. As a child, Eren devoured books and longed to become the next Nancy Drew. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Eren worked as a reporter and freelance writer, in addition to nonprofit work, for nearly 10 years before having her first child, a boy, in 2016. What followed was a year of amazing highs and incredible lows, and eventually she was diagnosed with Postpartum Depression. Since having her daughter in 2017, battling PPD a second time around, and focusing on raising her family and writing/creating on the side, Eren has become a champion for women's mental health, and maternal mental health in particular.

Her writing focuses on women who are often misunderstood, misdiagnosed and brushed aside. Whether in fiction or nonfiction, children's books or novels, Eren wants to tell the stories of women (and girls)- the good, the bad, and the ugly, and inspire them all to take care of - and stay true to - themselves.
